Greg Logan

Greg has 40 years experience in the health and education sectors specialising in mental health and alcohol and other drugs. Throughout his career he has moved between clinical and management roles.  He originally trained as a Division 1 Nurse going on to gain qualifications in mental health  and drug and alcohol.  He also has postgraduate qualifications in education as well as 20 years experience in the development and delivery of educational programs. He lectured for ten years at Monash University in mental health before working at Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre where he developed and managed their postgraduate courses. He was also responsible for the development of Turning Point’s capacity to develop and deliver online learning.

For four years Greg was the Statewide Coordinator of the Dual Diagnosis Education and Training Unit based at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.  In this role Greg was responsible for the development and delivery of dual diagnosis training to all mental health and alcohol and drug workers across Victoria. He has recently worked with Federation Training where he was responsible for the development, delivery and accreditation of the Diploma of Community Health.

Greg’s specialist areas of expertise include:

Greg has expertise in the development of both face-to-face and online learning and in 2009 was awarded the title of national e-Learning Champion by the Australian Flexible Framework. The course and subjects he has developed have ranged over all areas of post-secondary education from Certificate IV to undergraduate and post-graduate.

Greg has expertise in providing consulting services in the management of health services with a focus on leading change and project management.
